We’re so excited! We’ve been awarded a grant from EvanSTEM — a collaborative community of science educators and afterschool providers in Evanston — to build a Science Club lab at Family Focus!
Science Club started running at Family Focus earlier this year. The youth and mentors have been doing some great work. It will take a long time to plans and build, but we’re excited to have a special lab space to run our experiments and activities. (For an idea of what this will be like, see our recent lab unveiling at the True Value Boys and Girls Club.)
The plans are still coming together, but we hope to make this a community science space that our EvanSTEM science-education partners can use when Science Club isn’t in session. Stay tuned!
